Project Spotlight : Belmont Morning Room
Let’s all just take a moment for the Breakfast Room at our Belmont project. Talk about a sweet little dream come true!
This quaint, romantic space off to the side of the adored Belmont kitchen we recently featured on the blog could very easily be the backdrop to Diane Keaton’s morning coffee (or afternoon indulgence, too) in the next Nancy Meyers Movie.
Boasting of windows that let the outside in and our favorite blue + white combo, this small space simply can’t be beat.
Prior to renovation, there was a natural sitting area off of the kitchen and we decided to transform the space into a morning room. In effort to keep the sense of nostalgia in the space, we left the built-in shelves and wood trim, and lined the shelves with vintage items and found objects. We then added a custom made a sofa with Lee Jofa fabric to fit snug beneath the window, a neutral (we like to consider blue a neutral around here!) rug, and coffee table to complete the arrangement. New brass hardware and a fresh coat of paint left the space feeling fresh and new amidst the charm of the older home. Now, we’re just wishing we could hang out here every day!
