Haskell Nursery: Room Tour

Can we all just take a moment for these drapes? By far, the drapes in our Haskell project are our most asked about, most loved, most desired drapes that we’ve encountered. I mean, we get it… we wish we could have them, too. The florals are simply stunning. As a result, we wanted to share a little more detail about this space, some ideas that we dreamed about before landing on this, and give away a few of our secrets. Let’s jump in!

Because of the way that the room was situated, we really wanted to find a way to make the drapes steal the show. They perfectly shape the crib and at the same time, offer space to easily transition the crib to a big girl bed when the time comes. It was our clients first baby girl, and so we really wanted to make the space feminine and sweet, without being too over the top with pink.

Initially, we were thinking a playful wallpaper, but after we landed on the Lulie Wallace Darcy fabric (we source through Supply Showroom) with the Samuel and Sons teal ombre trim, we decided to paint the walls in Sherwin Williams “Intimate White” and couldn’t be more pleased with how it complements the drapes.

As for art, we pulled in two yellow Kayce Hughes pieces above the crib and an alphabet poster that we sourced from Etsy (you can always find a ton of options!) that we actually had framed at Framebridge (super easy for smaller pieces) and loved the whimsy that it added to the space. We added more subtle color and texture through a custom dresser from The CEH, styling the bookshelves with children’s books, another Kayce Hughes piece and small toys, the woven baskets from Restoration Hardware, and the wicker giraffe from Pottery Barn.

At the end of the day, we love every single detail of this sweet nursery - but, in all honesty, we’ll never be able to get over how much we love these drapes!
