Byrne : A Historic Renovation
Several areas in the Heights have historic guidelines for renovations and while they can sometimes bring about a headache, we love the creative challenge that we are presented with when working inside historic districts.
Home Office for Party Planner Extraordinaire
We recently designed the Houston home of local creative entrepreneur and party planner. Prior to bringing this space to life, the owner had been running her business out of her dining room—leaving it completely non-functional. Samples, proposals, a computer, favors, tabletop, you name it, flooded the room.

Why We Always Say 'YES' to Wallpaper
Wallpaper in small spaces in often an overlooked charm in homes. While it might not give off the grandeur of an exquisite kitchen or the impact of a custom light fixture, it offers depth to small spaces and brings life through pattern and color.
Terrace Project : Main Living Space (As seen in Southern Living's September Issue!)
Our Terrace project was a dream to work on. As seen in Southern Living’s September issue, we wanted to give you a look inside this dream home. .A few years ago, we met Brent and Suzie when they were beginning the process of building a new home.
Terrace Project : Powder Bathroom (As seen in Southern Living's September Issue!)
As we shared in our Terrace Project Main Living Space post, the goal for our Terrace project was to create a modern English cottage, inspired by walking the homes seen walking the quaint suburbs of London
Viking : Girls Room
We believe the best kids’ room designs include furniture that can grow with kids over the years—classic pieces that stand the test of time. Here, we integrated a custom bed, upholstered chair and playful ottoman; plus the client’s existing bookshelves and dresser. A garment rack with her favorite dresses, made our mini client feel all grown-up. We couldn’t be happier with how this sweet room transitioned!
Old Oaks Kitchen Remodel
We decided that the best use of the space was to add a smaller table, chairs that complimented the counter stools and use a more traditional, colorful fabric to design a show-stopper, custom banquette. When all was said and done, the banquette created a statement in the kitchen without taking too much attention from the space as a whole.
10th Street : Big Boy Room
From the beginning, we wanted stripes. We used a vertically striped wallpaper in a horizontal application on the wall, and layered in vertical stripes with the headboard upholstery—not matching but coordinating. We added in Euro pillows in a block-print design (which matched the valance), and gave the blue tones a complement in the red gourd lamps and bolster pillow. Traditional patterns like the stripes, gingham and block prints kept with the American theme; along with the placement of the 3-D airplane art. To give the space more character and coveted storage, we integrated vintage pieces in the dresser and the bamboo etagere.

Teakwood Entry : Small Space, Large Entry
Conventional knowledge states that small rooms should get a white coat of paint to feel more spacious. In the teensy entry of our Teakwood project, we decided to shake up the norms. We painted the walls and ceilings an olive green lacquer. Though obviously not white, the allover tone in a glossy application actually gave the space more dimension, making the entry feel even larger. We added architectural detailing on the ceiling to bring your eyes up and make the space feel less closed-in. Adding black and white marble tile gave interest to the floor and further blurs the compact boundaries of this space. In addition, the bold walls and even bolder flooring give this entry a punch of glam that sets the tone for the rest of the home.
